my passion for photography is guided by two “principles” and oddly, they both come from the ancient greek 🙂

kairos – meaning the right and opportune moment.

horaios – the word for beauty (also connected to the word hora meaning time). the idea was that what was beautiful was appropriate for one’s own age, or being of one’s hour.

photography to me is about capturing beauty in the moment, not something that is staged or overproduced. for those of us who are not professional models or actors, we tend to look the best in our most natural state. beauty is about being real and genuine and is appropriate for the occasion or time.
